James Perry

James Perry is best known for his work as a comedian on Studio C, and more recently JK Studios, a YouTube channel dedicated to quality comedy that is family friendly. His new book, ‘I Still Want To Be An Astronaut’, is an inspirational book about finding your purpose, drawing lessons from his experience trying to figure out how to be a human being. He’s still working on it. He loves speaking about recognizing your potential, being genuine, and finding joy in everything.

James Perry is a California native and it was there in the sun that he met his beautiful wife, Brenna. They began dating in 2004, and were married in 2009 after James returned from an LDS church mission to Milan, Italy. James studied Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University.

James fell in love with acting as a teenager, doing various stage plays and making his first films. In college, he stretched his acting and writing skills by joining a sketch comedy troupe, Divine Comedy. This led to his role on BYUtv's Studio C, where he has been a writer, actor, and sometimes director for 7 seasons.

James especially likes fireworks, IKEA, and his puppy Caesar (Julius Caesar the Tyrant, the biggest puppy in his litter.)

He is now working on his next project JK! Studios

Hank Smith

Dr. Henry “Hank” Smith grew up the son of a golf professional in sunny St. George, Utah. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Dixie State University, Hank earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Utah State University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University where he now works as an instructor.

In addition to his work corporate training and education consulting, Hank enjoys speaking at assemblies for elementary, junior high, and high schools around the country.

Hank has been published in journals and books around the world. His article, “Trust at Ground Zero: Trust and Collaboration within the Professional Learning Community” was recently featured in the bestselling international book, “Trust and School Life.”

Hank has also authored many books and “Audio CDs” with Deseret Book and Covenant Communications and speaks for tens of thousands of youth and adults each year.

Hank enjoys running marathons and eating lots of ice cream, which is why he runs marathons.
Hank, his wife Sara, and their 5 adorable children currently live in Mapleton, Utah.

That’s his official bio... but this is what people who know him say!

Hank Smith is a better person in his actual life than most people will ever know. He takes care of his students, his family, his friends, and is genuine, funny, and loves diet coke with a little bit of coke on the top. He calls it a "cheater coke."

His office hours at Brigham Young University are overflowing with students. He takes the time to answer their questions about faith, faith crisis issues, doctrine, dating, mental health, the Book of Mormon, BYU sports, the Jazz, LGBQT support, who has the best and worst pizza in Utah (stuffed crust forever!).

He has five amazing children (including twins) and his wife is actually the funny one (don't tell him we told you). Sara is beautiful and kind, smart and hilarious. She is his secret weapon. Everyone needs a Sara. God must love Hank Smith because He gave him Sara Savage.

Hank is the rare person who can tell you the score from the Jazz game, discuss trust in corporations, list three history books he is currently reading, yet will drop everything to help a friend. I am surprised he has a single shirt left. He seems to be giving his off of his back.

If I was stuck across the US with a flat tire, needing help with a Youth Conference Talk, and I was struggling for a joke, Hank would be my first and only call. He can do it all. He is a Renaissance Man disguised as your cool neighbor.

He is imperfectly perfect. He is a master teacher. He makes gospel teaching seem easy. He has the ability to teach difficult historical and scriptural concepts with humor and conviction. He ends every class with, "The Church is true, I promise." and it is the power of his testimony that helps thousands of students and youth each and every day.

He is the coauthor of Armor Up and Suit Up (with such authors as Brad Wilcox, Laurel Christensen Day, Anthony Sweat, and John Bytheway) and wrote Be Happy: Simple Secrets to a Happier Life. He has also created CD/audiobooks such as Scripture Power, Unshaken, Unconquerable, Be of Good Cheer, Build Your House Upon a Rock, Wake Up from Your Phone, Fighting for and Not with Your Family, Break Up with the World, Thou Shalt Be Nice!, Be Who You Are, and Running Down Your Dreams.

David Butler

David Butler is an institute of religion teacher at Utah Valley University by day and a fort builder, waffle maker, and sports coach to his six very active children by night. Somewhere in between all of that he is a motivational speaker and best selling author.

He has written several books for kids and families including Ites: And Illustrated Guide to the People of the Book of Mormon, and Baptism, Jesus, and Me, and Celebrating a Christ Centered Christmas: Children’s Edition.

He relates well to the young parents raising their kids in the gospel because he is right there on the front lines with them.  He also related well with the youth—both because he is a kid at heart and has spent the last 10 years teaching full time seminary. He adores the scriptures and likes to make them come to life in his writing and teaching.

He grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, loves really good food, spontaneous adventures, and the first day of summer. He and his wife Jenny live with their kids in Lehi, Utah now but dream of a beach house on a sunny island somewhere warm!

Calee Reed Adams

Calee was born to two gifted musicians who raised her to love music and vocal performance. She grew up singing all over her native Southern California with her three sisters and parents. When Calee's mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Calee began writing Christian music as a way to sustain her faith. She released her debut album, The Waiting Place, through Shadow Mountain Records after her mother's death in 2011.

Calee's second album, What Heaven Feels Like, was released in 2015. Shortly after the release of her second album, Calee's first marriage ended in divorce - and she began writing for her third album as a single, full-time mother. The music she wrote during those difficult years eventually became her latest album - Believer - which boasts inspirational music ranging from upbeat to heartwarming.

Calee recently remarried and lives in South Weber, Utah with her beautiful blended family of six children and loving husband, Jon.

Message from Calee:
Hi - I'm Calee! If I've learned anything from the last several years of unexpected challenges in my life (losing my mother to cancer after a horrific battle, experiencing the rollercoaster that is a baby with health issues, my divorce, etc), it's that good HUMOR, good MUSIC, and good PERSPECTIVE can make almost anything bearable.

And when they can't? Well, that's what Diet Coke and pizza are for. I write music for people who want to connect with God and their own divine truth every day; I call it "weekday worship" music. I consider myself an advocate for all of the 'unconventional' members of the church out there - those who feel like they don't fit in because they don't fit the ideal mold. I truly believe there is room for everyone at Christ's table, and my goal and passion with my music is to reach out with God's love to as many as I can.

On a less lofty note, I love ignoring my sink when it's full of dishes, sugar free Red Bull (John 8:7), baking cookies and hanging out with my kids and husband.

Oh, and I'm SUPER PUMPED to come present at the Press Pause event next summer!

Hilary Weeks

Hilary Weeks

Hilary delivers music with a rare combination of assuredness and tenderness. With inspiring lyrics and a voice audiences have come to love and depend upon, she shares her heart and insight drawn from everyday life.

Raised in Alaska, Hilary grew up carefree and introspective. The forests, streams, and inlets of her Anchorage home offered a wealth of opportunities for not only exploring, but quiet reflection as well.

“Growing up I spent a lot of time in the forest next to our house,” Hilary says. “It overlooked the ocean and often I would see whales out in the distance. It is still one of my favourite places on Earth. I could go there to be alone and think and pray and try to figure out life. It was my own secret spot where I could commune with Heaven.”

Such communion has always been a guiding theme in Hilary’s life - and music. After finishing her first song at the age of 14, she found her favourite topics to write about were those devoted to the Gospel. But becoming a bestselling, inspirational singer/songwriter was never something she planned.

Music was important in the home where Hilary Weeks grew up. She began playing the piano at age eight and wrote her first song at age 14. Her first published song “He Hears Me” was recorded on the 1993 EFY album

“If someone had told me after I wrote my first song, that I would someday release seven CDs I wouldn’t have believed them,” she says. “And if they had told me that I would sing those songs in front of thousands of people, I would have run. I never had dreams or plans of becoming a singer or songwriter. I liked music. I loved it. It was just that simple.”

But one simple thing led to another, and three years later Hilary released her solo debut, He Hears Me, for which she was awarded Inspirational Album of the Year by the Faith Centered Music Association. She has since released ten albums, her latest being Songs for Peace, as well as two collections of sheet music, The Hilary Weeks Songbook Vol. 1 & 2.

In addition to her solo releases Hilary has been featured on an extensive list of compilation albums and has been the recipient of numerous awards; but for every achievement, she credits the great love of Jesus Christ. And in spite of all the accolades and success, her most beloved moments are those spent with her family.

“I love being with my family,” Hilary (a self-described “homebody”) says. “They are the best thing in my life. I have just been so incredibly blessed. And in addition to a happy, healthy family, somehow, through encouragement of wonderful friends, support of a loving family, and guidance from a patient Heavenly Father my road has also taken me on an incredible musical journey.”

In October 2011, Weeks became the first LDS artist to break into the top 10 on the Current Contemporary Christian Albums Billboard list with her album “Every Step.” It also hit 102 on the Top 200 Billboard and was the number one New Artist Album on both the National Indie and Mountain Region charts on its debut week.

Hilary, her husband Tim, and their four daughters live in Utah.
