Where will {PRESS PAUSE} be held?

We are delighted to be hosting the event at the world class venue


The Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley Street, Manchester M2 3WS.


The Bridgewater Hall is in the centre of Manchester, easily accessible by public transport and by road.

Getting there? What are the transport links?

Travelling by Car

If travelling by car, please allow plenty of time for your journey. For satellite navigation, the Hall’s postcode is M2 3WS. The nearest car parks are Q-Park, NCP Manchester Central, NCP Great Northern or NCP Oxford Street. Some discounts may apply when booking these car parks in advance.


Directions:   

M6 (from south – Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham)
Leave the M6 at junction 19, just after Knutsford Services. Follow the A556 towards Altrincham and pick up the M56 towards Manchester Airport. Follow the motorway onto the A5103 (Princess Parkway), then follow signs for The Bridgewater Hall/Manchester Central, Petersfield.

M6 (from north – Preston, Blackpool, Carlisle)
Leave the M6 at junction 21a for the M62 towards Manchester. At junction 12, join the M602 and continue to the end of the motorway (Regent Road Roundabout, Salford). Follow signs to the city centre along Regent Road, and then to The Bridgewater Hall/Manchester Central, Petersfield.

M62 (from west – Liverpool)
At M62 junction 12, join the M602 and continue to the end of the motorway (Regent Road Roundabout, Salford). Follow signs to the city centre along Regent Road, and then to The Bridgewater Hall/Manchester Central, Petersfield.

M62 (from east – Leeds, Yorkshire)
At M62 junction 18, join the M60 west-bound. Take junction 17 onto the A56 (Bury New Road) and follow signs to the city centre, and then to The Bridgewater Hall/Manchester Central, Petersfield.

M56 (from west – North Wales, Chester, Ellesmere Port)
Follow the M56 past Manchester Airport. Continue onto the A5103 (Princess Parkway), then follow signs for The Bridgewater Hall/Manchester Central, Petersfield.

Disabled Parking

There are a limited number of complimentary disabled parking spaces for blue badge holders at NCP Manchester Central (formerly G-Mex), allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please park in one of the designated disabled parking bays and display your blue badge. This arrangement is for evening concerts only and is not available to those attending day sessions. 


Additional on street disabled parking 

A wheelchair drop off point is located on Lower Mosley Street outside the Hall. We must stress, however, that this is not a parking space, even for blue badge holders. Double yellow lines at the rear of The Bridgewater Hall on Great Bridgewater Street allow parking for blue badge holders except during the hours of 6.00am–8.00am and 4.00pm–6.00pm.

Travelling by Train

It takes a little over two hours to reach Manchester from London and Manchester also has direct connections to most major UK cities. Services arrive at Piccadilly or Victoria stations where passengers can connect with Metrolink trams for easy access to the city centre. The Bridgewater Hall is a 20 minute walk from Piccadilly Station or just five minutes by taxi. Alternatively, catch a connecting train to Oxford Road Station - just five minutes from The Bridsgewater Hall on foot.

For groups of three to nine people, Virgin Trains offer a 20% discount off advanced ticket purchases.

Other Public Transport

Upon arrival in Manchester you can walk to The Bridgewater Hall, catch a Metroshuttle bus, Metrolink tram or take a taxi.

Metroshuttle

Metroshuttle buses are free and link the city centre's main rail stations, shopping areas and businesses. Click here for more information on routes.


Metrolink

The nearest Metrolink stop to The Bridgewater Hall is St Peter's Square. From there, we’re just a few minutes on foot.

Metrolink runs every few minutes from early morning until late in the evening. You don’t need a timetable, just turn up, buy your ticket and the next Metrolink will be along shortly. However, the network is currently being expanded so please do check your route before travelling.

Local travel

Manchester's extensive multi-modal public transport network makes it easy to travel in and around Greater Manchester.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available at Manchester Airport and both Piccadilly and Victoria train stations as well as at many taxi ranks across the city. 

Travelling by Plane

Manchester Airport is a major international hub just nine miles (14.5km) from the city centre. It serves more than 200 destinations worldwide including direct routes to nine US cities. From the airport, the city is approximately 25 minutes away by taxi or just 20 minutes via the half-hourly express rail service (tickets £3.00-£4.00).

Where can we get lunch/evening meals when we are at {PRESS PAUSE}?

There are a number of eateries within walking distance of The Bridgewater Hall and there is some onsite catering too. We are compiling a more comprehensive list for you - so please check back here again nearer the event.

What is {PRESS PAUSE}?

{PRESS PAUSE} Inspiration Convention is a two day conference and concert, that is designed to inspire, uplift and rejuvenate. It is real food for the soul. The event has a fabulous list of well known members of the Church who speak, write and perform for a living.


The aim of the event to to uplift and inspire those who attend, provide them with an opportunity to "Press Pause" and be refreshed. 


The event takes place over the 2nd & 3rd August 2019, with various presenters during the Friday and Saturday daytime sessions, plus a Friday night concert.  In addition there is a YSA mingle event immediately prior to the concert. 


The event is designed for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, however, it is a commercial business and it is not sponsored by the Church. 


The event is a paid for ticketed event and ALL tickets must be pre-booked and purchased through our secure online booking site (see here) tickets at, full price, prices range from £20 - £99.


20% early booking discounts apply until the 1st of December 2018. 

What are the times for the event and sessions?

The event will be held on the 2nd & 3rd August 2019, and the session times are as follows:


Friday Day Session - 10am-6pm

YSA Only mingle, seminar and concert 

Friday Night -6pm-10.30pm

Friday Night Concert- 7.30pm-10.30pm

Saturday Day Session - 9.30am-6pm

Who can attend?

The event is open for anyone over the age of 14+.  Although the event is aimed at members of The Church and much of the content will be faith specific, people who are not members, or practice other faiths or none are also welcome.

Tickets will be sold in one area, not specifically ticketed seats, enabling friends who book separately to sit together.  Specific seats are on a first come, first served basis.  


The foyer area, shop and art gallery will be open from 8.30am Friday and 8am Saturday.

Keeping in touch before, during and after the event?

We will be using various social media platforms that you could follow us on and keep up to date with the event, before, during and after the event. We will also have a What's App that you will be able to use nearer the weekend.

How do I select who I want to see?

The great news about the event is that EVERYONE will speak and perform each day, so regardless of which day you can come you see all of our speakers/artists/performers. 


Each day however the content will be different, so if you select a weekend ticket you will hear from each performer/artist/speaker TWICE! Double the inspiration!

I have a disability or special needs request, what do I do?

The Bridgewater Hall is adapted to suit the needs of people with physical disabilities and challenges with areas for wheelchairs and companion seating. In all areas of the auditorium (Stalls/Circle/Gallery)  


The venue is fitted with a loop for anyone who wears a hearing aid. 


For any one who requires any additional disability assistance please email us on info@presspause.org.uk with details of your booking reference (if you have already booked) and we can make all appropriate arrangements. 


What information will I need for booking?

Booking will require your name, address, email and telephone number. You will need a visa/mastercard to make an online payment and have decided which ticket you are booking. You can book multiple tickets in one transaction, however, each ticket needs to be registered to the attendee and their address for security purposes. 


If you are staying for the weekend you will also need to arrange your hotel, transport and parking etc separately.

If you are booking tickets for more than one person but are making one payment, you need to click the 'ADD REGISTRANT' button between each ticket. 


You will need to add the information for each individual ticket, and just enter the payment information once.

When buying multiple tickets in one transaction you will have one tab for each ticket holder/recipient.  

Billing information

Once you have all the tickets/recipients that you want then you can enter your billing information. This is one payment for ALL the tickets that you have arranged. IF paying for them individually you will need to check out after each ticket/recipient.

Once you are happy with the tickets you have selected, the details of each ticket holder and your billing details click submit and follow the online transaction. Thank you for booking with {PRESS PAUSE} we look forward to spending time with you next August! 

 Please note: Tickets are sold by area - not numbered seating. Therefore you can select your seats before the session on the day, on a first come first served basis (venue will open at least 1 hr before the session) . This allows you to sit with friends that book at a different time - or some old friends that you bump in to on the day!


Once you have booked you will receive an email with your booking details and there will be a page to print off to bring on the day which will include a QR code that will have to be scanned for you to gain entry to the venue - please remember to bring this with you on the day - you will get a reminder a few days before the event.
